Lynn Emmons is currently employed by the Barron Area School District in three positions: English as a Second Language Teacher (working closely with the large African refugee population), Elementary Gifted/Talented Coordinator, and District Gifted/Talented Coordinator.
For several years she stayed at home and raised three sons, but now this is Lynn’s 6th year to be an ESL teacher and 8th year as teacher for gifted/talented students. She is a graduate of Faith Baptist Bible College with a B.S. in Elementary Education and Master of Education from the University of Wisconsin in Eau Claire, WI. Special music training includes organ and piano lessons, violin lessons, Suzuki training from Marilyn Taggart and Marilyn Anderson at Wheaton College, and some college music courses from FBBC (IA) and Olivet Nazarene University (IL). She has been teaching private piano lessons for a little over 20 years and currently has a small studio of students in Wisconsin.
Mrs. Emmons is married (to Nathan) and has three sons (Aaron, Paul, and Sam) and one daughter-in-law (Misty Rae) and all four are in college. The Emmons also have a spoiled dog named Lucky.
